Tamsin
Who she is
Chief of a long-standing Deep crew. Ever since she was made chief, she has waited at the clearance window at Korvan Gate with the crew’s papers in her fist and counted them through, and at Oranth’s Cup she counts them up the ramp again. She holds one of the two keys to the station’s charge store and signs every charge count.
Appearance
Solidly built and broad through the shoulders, with short, dark curling hair and a level, appraising look. She wears a heavy ochre work jacket over slate-blue coveralls, sleeves pushed up, and keeps her slate tucked against her side. Her charge-store key hangs from a ring at her belt.
Personality
- Brisk and practical. She shouts her orders over the wind even though no one on her crew needs telling.
- Dry: “You coming down, or staying up here to talk to the weather?”

Station Seven
When the surge hits, her slate fills with static and the countdown won’t start. She orders everyone into the storage rooms, and the doors won’t open. The first blast leaves her on the ground, her eyes turned toward Farian. She doesn’t move.
