Overview
The Record
Korrith conceals the environmental work that keeps part of Ysil habitable. The hold lies in a secluded hollow beneath dense moisture-holding growth, where mist, wet stone, and regrown paths hide reservoirs, low residences, protected cultivation, and atmospheric systems from casual observation. Its infrastructure is distributed through the forest floor rather than presented as a central works.
Reservoirs, water channels, condensation collectors, and replenishment systems manage a limited atmosphere and water cycle. Protected chambers and surrounding growth produce fungi and pigment-bearing organisms for local use and Ysil’s small external trade. Harvesting is constrained by replacement: taking more than the hold can regrow is treated as damage to the same stewardship that makes settlement possible.
That dependence explains why Korrith protects method as carefully as location. Vegetation closes over approaches, temporary markers are removed, and no complete map may leave. Occulters work those routes rather than the settlement itself, ensuring that concealment begins before an outsider can identify what must be concealed.
Korrith’s households govern the works, harvest, records, and terms of reception. Hesryn cannot authorize entry on their behalf, and Varos has no routine administrative role. Assistance or protection arrives only after Korrith requests it. The hold can sustain life and produce scarce goods by remaining difficult to reach; wider access would threaten the systems visitors come to study.

Environment
Dense moisture-holding growth covers a secluded hollow of mist and wet stone. Reservoirs, channels, condensation collectors, atmospheric replenishment systems, protected fungus chambers, pigment cultivation, and low residences are integrated into the forest floor. The infrastructure is advanced but deliberately dispersed and unobtrusive rather than exposed as one industrial complex.
